Almost to Pickwick Lake

Beautiful Anchorage

Bonfire on the beach!  What fun!
Celebrating Sweet Pea's first year on their boat!
One big Bass!
Beautiful fall foliage
One of the homes along the river. What a view!
Yes, there were goats on Swallows Island
These were pelicans lined up on a log!
Catching some rays!
Fog - almost every morning
Another beautiful sunset

After leaving Pebble Isle Marina on Saturday, we have anchored out every evening with Sweet Pea.  There are beautiful anchorages all along the way.  - Denson Island, Double Island, Swallows Island and Wolf Island have been our choices. We've been going only about 20 miles or so each day and have been really enjoying it.  Nice and easy. We've really enjoyed traveling along with Jim and Dale.  Jim and Mike are quite the duo - perhaps they should take it on the road. --?  Maybe not.....   Mike and Jim do spend alot of time fishing.  Sometimes - actually catching!

We've even seen goats on one island along with deer - eagles - muskrats - and lots of other wildlife.  What a trip!   The things you can enjoy when you really take the time to smell the roses! We are only a few miles now from the Pickwick Lock and Dam.  We will lock through tomorrow and then plan to spend some time on Pickwick Lake.  It's a beautiful lake with lots more places to discover.  Looking forward to it!

Till next time!
